It always astounds me that the average yield from one tree is the equivalent of one roasted pound of coffee, a 1 to 1 ratio!

Sweet potato pie with whipped cream on top, paired with a mug of Morning Glory Blend brewed in a Chemex.

Both of my grandmas, Eleanor & Birdie.
Where are you to be found when not at Peace Coffee?
Playing in the yard with our kiddo, or in the kitchen cooking and more recently baking! My favorite cookie recipe is for these easy-to-make chocolate molasses addictive morsels!
What’s your favorite fashion faux pas to commit?
Mismatched socks.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Ever since Peace Coffee sent me to Sumatra in 2003 to visit coffee farmers at the PPKGO co-op in Takengon, I’ve wanted to return and explore more of the islands of Indonesia. Fingers crossed I’ll get to travel there again!
If someone made you into a cartoon character, what would that character’s most prominent feature be?
Big eyes which I’ve clearly passed on to our child!
What music keeps you going while at work?
An all-female lineup that depending on my mood switches from Janelle Monáe to Cat Power to Adele but usually settles on Brandi Carlile, and if no one is in the office, it’s the Chicks.
